Movie Review: Grownups (June, 2010)

Weeelll, I’m not here to write that Grownups is any good or any better. It’s a silly comedy, with a variance of witty remarks to slapstick comedy that we are now very used to from the very popular comedians we have come to know and love (or hate, for a few). What I mean is that, every comedian has their own style of comedy. Rob Schneider has become known for his in your face, over the top silly comedy, such as in [ insert gigolo movie here], where his humor, is translated into Grownups, with his over-the-top singing and over-the-top hair. Kevin James (whom I adore), jokes about his weight and his love for eating (common in his comedy), using more physical comedy to deliver the laughs, and Adam Sandler jokes are more verbal and fairly unique.
